Impaired Hit-and-Run Driver Caught After Fleeing Police in Cathedral City
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (January 3, 2019) – A DUI driver was caught by police after trying to flee near Highway 111 and Rancho Mirage.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the DUI suspect was involved in a hit-and-run and took off. However, the driver tried leaning over to operate a keypad when he fell out of his window after his foot got stuck in the steering wheel.
The Cathedral City police arrived to help the man before taking him to jail. There were no details regarding the previous crash that happened.
