Tucson, AZ (December 4, 2023) – On Saturday afternoon, 58-year-old Cathaleen Pelayo died in a crash on East Tanque Verde Road.

At 4:27 p.m., PCSD deputies received a report of a traffic collision at East Tanque Verde Road and North Soldier Trail. Upon arrival, they found that 58-year-old Cathaleen Pelayo, one of the drivers, had been pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the second vehicle remained unharmed.

An investigation unveiled that Pelayo was traveling south on Soldier Trail, approaching Tanque Verde, while the other vehicle was heading west on Tanque Verde.
