Rider Down in Evening Collision on 5 Freeway in Castaic
CASTAIC, CA (December 14, 2018) – A motorcyclist was found unconscious following a traffic accident Friday evening in Castaic.
The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on northbound 5 Freeway at Lake Hughes Road.
According to an initial report by the CHP, a motorcycle, a semi truck and a silver Nissan pickup truck were involved in a collision. While the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, the impact sent the rider down on the roadway.
Responding paramedics located the unconscious rider and took the individual to a hospital in an unknown condition.
A SigAlert was issued in the area, blocking the first and second lanes of the freeway while officers and crews worked on the scene.
