9 Injured in Perris Middle School Collision

Perris, CA (March 19, 2022) On Wednesday, a car crash into a middle school in Martin Street injured 9 people.

The Riverside County Fire Department (RCFD) says that around 1:15 p.m. a car slammed a building at Tomas Rivera Middle School in the 21600 block of Martin Street, near Clark Street.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that a driver of a red Toyota Corolla veered off the street and crashed into the building.

Moreover, officials say that the crash trapped multiple people at one time.

A total of 9 adults were injured from minor to moderate, this includes the Toyota driver.

Fortunately, kids were released early that day.

The CHP is handling the investigation and has ruled out impairment as a factor for the crash.
