Fatal Rollover Crash on 10 Freeway in Cactus City

 
CACTUS CITY, CA (January 27, 2019) – One person was killed and another one was seriously injured following a rollover crash early Sunday morning in Cactus City.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:33 a.m. on 10 Freeway near Dillon Road, just East of Coachella.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle carrying two people went about 50 feet off the roadway and overturned into the center divider, where it landed on its roof.
 
One of the two occupants was pronounced dead at the scene. The second patient suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
No identifying information is being released at this time, and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
 
An investigation is still ongoing to determine the factors involved.
