Bus Driver Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Collision in Simi Valley
SIMI VALLEY, CA (December 20, 2019)—A bus driver complained of pain following Thursday’s multi-car accident at Highway 118 and Stearns Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 11:45 a.m. crash involved a Chevrolet Silverado pickup, a Ford Focus and a Ventura County Transportation Commission bus.
It appears only two people were on board the bus, including the driver who complained of pain.
Per CHP, the Chevrolet sustained major front-end damage while the Ford Focus had front- and rear-end damage. Neither occupants in both vehicles required hospitalization, according to Officer Marco Marin of CHP’s Moorpark office.
Due to the nature of the crash, officials closed the northbound on-ramp to Highway 118 as they investigated and cleared the scene.
Reports failed to note what led to the impact, but investigators are piecing together the events to determine who was at fault.
