According to the Hualapai Emergency Operations, the fatal bus rollover accident happened near the Grand Canyon West resort’s parking lot.

Officials say that the collision involved a bus and a visitor’s vehicle, officials say 57 people were involved in the rollover accident. Authorities requested 5 helicopters to the scene.

Medics airlifted 8 patients to the University Medical Center, 2 of which were children. Authorities confirmed that all patients are in stable condition as of Tuesday evening.

Authorities say that there were other people injured in the crash that were taken to the hospital via ground ambulance.
