2 Injured in Orondo Head-on Collision on Highway 2
ORONDO, WA (July 1, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, Bryan Williams sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 2 near Orondo.
The WSP revealed that 62-year-old Patrick Brighton of Chelan Falls drove a 1999 Cadillac Seville east on Highway 2, near milepost 139. However, he drove across the centerline and crashed with a westbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.
Due to the crash, the cars blocked the westbound lanes of the freeway.
The impact of the collision left Patrick Brighton with injuries. Thus, responders transported him to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.
Moreover, the police will charge him with vehicular assault, DUI, crossing the centerline, no valid operator’s license, and no insurance.
Furthermore, the pickup truck driver, 20-year-old Cesar Ramos Guerra of Entitat, was uninjured. However, his 56-year-old Wenatchee passenger, Bryan Williams, sustained injuries. Responders took Williams to Central Washington Hospital.
Moreover, the authorities impounded both cars as evidence.
This accident can serve to show that small driving mistakes can lead to disastrous results. Thus, whenever you’re operating a car, pay attention, be alert, and follow all road signs and traffic lights.
Next Steps after Injury Collision
Many factors can cause road accidents like the one that impacted the injured parties in the head-on crash on Highway 138.
In fact, each year, around 20-50 million people are injured or become disabled due to an auto crash.
That is why it’s vital to be a proactive driver, rather than a reactive one. Driving defensively prepares you for emergencies.
While driving is essential for many to move about in their lives, it is one of the most dangerous activities performed daily. Therefore, it’s important to know how to proceed in case you find yourself involved in a traffic collision.
