39-Year-Old Crestline Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Vehicle near 605 Freeway
LONG BEACH, CA (November 7, 2018) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident near the 605 freeway, early Wednesday morning. The deceased victim was later identified as 39-year-old Bryan Lembke, a resident of Crestline.
According to officers with the Long Beach Police, the fatal collision took place around 4:45 AM on Spring Street near the 605 Freeway.
As per reports, Lembke was bicking westbound in the third lane of Spring street when he was struck from behind by a 2007 Honda Accord. The driver of the Accord was only identified as a 53-year-old man from Cypress. The Honda driver stayed at the scene, and cooperated with officers during their investigation.
The victim was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. A GoFundMe page was set up to help family members with memorial expenses. Click on the link to donate.
