HOUSTON, TX (March 3, 2024) – Friday, a brutal wrong-way crash on Interstate 45 near Tidwell Road killed 2 people.

The incident happened when the driver of one vehicle drove north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 near Tidwell Road. Then, it crashed with the driver of a vehicle headed southbound.

As a result, both drivers succumbed to injuries at the scene. Police added that they showed no signs of intoxication.

Also, the crash shut down the southbound lanes of the North Freeway for several hours. Then, the crash was cleared at 11:13 a.m.
