1 Person Dead in Houston Auto Accident on Canino Road and Airline Drive

HOUSTON, TX (December 18, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a brutal two-vehicle crash on Canino Road and Airline Drive killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Canino Road and Airline Drive.

According to the Houston Police, a southbound vehicle traveling on Airline Drive ran a red light and collided with an eastbound vehicle that was traveling on Canino Road. Then, the force of the crash ejected the driver of the eastbound vehicle into the roadway before the same vehicle landed on top of him.

Also, the southbound vehicle continued traveling to the opposite side of Airline Drive, collided with another vehicle, and caused a chain reaction crash involving two other vehicles.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle fled the scene on foot after the incident.

Furthermore, responders pronounced the driver of the eastbound vehicle, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities said that they had the possible address of the suspect and were heading there.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Houston Police continued to investigate the crash.
