1 Dead in Santa Rosa Pedestrian Accident on US Highway 101 and Airport Boulevard

SANTA ROSA, CA (March 2, 2024) – Early Friday morning, a brutal pedestrian crash on US Highway 101 and Airport Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. on US Highway 101 and Airport Boulevard.

According to reports, a Toyota Camry driving in the middle lane struck a pedestrian walking from the right-hand shoulder toward the center median. As a result, the male pedestrian whose identity remained undisclosed, succumbed to injuries at the scene.

After the crash, the Toyota driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries and officers confirmed that he was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Also, the authorities shut down the highway for about two hours for the investigation into the crash. Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the case to contact the CHP’s Santa Rosa-area office at (707) 588-1400.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
