1 Dead in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident near Rigsby Avenue and S WW White Road

SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 24, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a woman died in a brutal pedestrian crash near Rigsby Avenue and S WW White Road.

The crash occurred at about 6:00 a.m. near the intersection of Rigsby Avenue and S WW White Road.

According to San Antonio Police, an SUV traveling east on Rigsby tried to turn north onto S. WW White Road when the driver noticed a pedestrian standing in the dark roadway. The driver swerved to avoid the 66-year-old woman, but a pickup truck heading north on S. WW White Road also swerved to avoid the SUV and ended up striking the pedestrian.

Both drivers stopped to assist the woman, who suffered life-threatening injuries. She was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead by medical staff.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
