1 Dead in Santa Ana Pedestrian Crash on Orange Street and Edinger Avenue

SANTA ANA, CA (February 18, 2024) – Saturday morning, a brutal pedestrian accident on Orange Street and Edinger Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Orange Street and Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana.

According to reports, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian.

“The driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound on Orange (Street) at Edinger (Avenue) when he stopped because he believed he had driven over an object,” Shin said. “When he (the driver) exited his vehicle, the driver discovered a pedestrian was trapped underneath his vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation when police arrived.”

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information regarding the crash to contact Shin at 714-245-8294 or the department’s Traffic Division at 714-245-8200.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
