1 Dead in Adelanto Auto Accident on US Highway 395 near Air Expressway

ADELANTO, CA (October 15, 2023) – Friday night, a brutal head-on crash on US Highway 395 near Air Expressway killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 8:15 p.m. on US Highway 395, between Air Expressway and Rancho Road.

According to reports, a 2014 Chevy Malibu and a second unknown-type vehicle collided head-on. When emergency responders arrived on the scene, they located the mangled vehicles along the southbound shoulder of US-395 with one of the vehicles on fire.

Then, firefighters confirmed that two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Also, they requested a helicopter to land at a nearby fire station for the third patient.

Furthermore, the authorities closed 395 in both directions for several hours as they conducted the investigation and waited for the coroner to arrive.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the Adelanto Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
