ADELANTO, CA (November 3, 2023) – Saturday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on US 395 near Auburn Avenue killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 4:42 a.m. on US 395, just south of Auburn Avenue.

According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez, a tractor-trailer combination struck a pedestrian for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the pedestrian to be thrown off the roadway and onto the dirt shoulder. Also, the driver of the tractor remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

Moreover, responders pronounced the male victim, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed US-395 between Chamberlaine Way and Auburn Avenue.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Adelanto Sheriff’s Station continued to investigate the crash.
