ORANGE COUNTY, CA (October 25, 2019) – Authorities arrested a 26-year-old man after a DUI car accident on Santiago Canyon Road.

According to reports, the driver crashed into a power pole. This collision led to a brush fire on October 24. The Orange County Fire Authority revealed that the incident happened before 4:00 a.m. on East Santiago Canyon Road near the 241 Freeway.

The detectives believed that the car started the brush fire.

Meanwhile, responders transported the driver with a broken collar bone to a local hospital. After that, authorities arrested him on suspicion of DUI.

“At this point, crews are making good work on the fire,” Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday stated. He added that the crews may early contain the fire.
