Brooke Smith Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident at Grand Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard
OAKLAND, CA (January 21, 2020)—A woman died Sunday morning following a hit-and-run crash at Grand Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard.
According to reports, the Alameda County coroner’s bureau has identified the victim as 42-year-old Brooke Smith.
The incident happened when the 2002 Subaru Outback that Smith had been operating was traveling eastbound on MacArthur Boulevard. Subsequently, a southbound traveling 2014 Audi A4 plowed into her vehicle at the Grand Avenue intersection.
According to police, the male Audi driver, along with his two passengers, left the scene. However, they have yet to be found.
Paramedics transported Smith, of Oakland, to a nearby hospital where she died from her injuries.
