Brieanne Campbell Dies in 5 Freeway Pedestrian Accident Near Euclid Street
ANAHEIM, CA (June 19, 2019) – An Upland woman perished Monday night after being struck by a vehicle on the 5 Freeway near Euclid Street.
The accident occurred on the northbound side of the freeway around 9 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a female driver crashed on the southbound side of the freeway under unknown circumstances. She then exited her vehicle, jumped over the center divider and attempted to cross the northbound side; however, an oncoming driver struck the woman, whom Orange County Coroner’s Office identified as Brieanne Campbell.
The 29-year-old died at 9:10 p.m. that evening.
Officials issued a SigAlert, blocking several lanes in both directions near Euclid Street around 9:22 p.m. By 10:39 p.m., the northbound carpool lane reopened to commuters.
Officials are investigating this deadly crash further in an attempt to determine the ultimate cause.
