Brenden Richardson of Modesto Dies in Kiernan Avenue Pedestrian Crash [Modesto, CA]

Modesto, CA (February 15, 2023) On February 7, 20-year-old Brenden Richardson suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Kiernan Avenue.

CHP says that the deadly traffic collision happened eastbound Kiernan Avenue, east of Carver Road.

Reports say that two vehicles struck Richardson while he was walking on the left lane of the avenue.

A GMC Acadia driven by a 30-year-old Modesto woman initially struck the pedestrian. Afterwards, a Toyota Corolla struck Richardson as he was standing up.

Officials say that a 17-year-old Modesto boy was driving the Toyota. Both drivers stayed at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics rushed Richardson to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the fatal traffic collision and have not released further details at this time.
