SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA (September 3, 2024) – On Sunday, a tragic pedestrian crash on Highway 101 near Madonna Inn killed one person.

The incident happened on Highway 101, just south of Madonna Inn.

According to reports, an old Toyota struck a 26-year-old pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid. Then, a second vehicle struck the victim who was already down in the pavement. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene after the crash.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the pedestrian died in the incident.

Furthermore, the crash closed northbound Highway 101 but has long since reopened.
