20-Year-Old Brayden Madden Killed, 1 Injured in Santa Clarita Motorcycle Crash
Santa Clarita, CA (November 12, 2020) – On Wednesday, 20-year-old Brayden Madden of Santa Clarita died, while another person was injured in a motorcycle crash near Bristol Way and Haskell Canyon Road.
The fatal motorcycle crash happened at about 6 PM.
California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig said the incident started near Bouquet Canyon Road & Plum Canyon Road, where police are chasing a motorcyclist for speeding.
The motorcyclist struck a blue truck, which ended the pursuit and injured one other person.
California Highway Patrol officers pronounced Madden dead at the scene. However, authorities will still have to identify his cause of death.
“The motorcyclist was wanted for speeding,” she said. “The motorcycle crashed into a car and (the motorcyclist) was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Meanwhile, authorities issued a SigAlert from 7 p.m. through midnight Thursday, prompting street closures for traffic in both directions on Bristol Way and Haskell Canyon Road while they clear the crash scene.
