11-Year-Old Boy Injured in South Birch Street Hit-and-Run Crash [Santa Ana, CA]

Santa Ana, CA (April 13, 2023) – On March 29, an 11-year-old boy sustained injuries following a South Birch Street hit-and-run crash.

The traffic incident occurred past 1:30 p.m. when two children were crossing the street from one sidewalk to the other. 

One child was hit by a black older model Cadillac DeVille traveling south. 

The injured child was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. 

Officers said the suspect driver did not stop to help the victim but continued to drive south. 

Witnesses said the Cadillac had dark tinted windows while the investigators have determined the vehicle has chrome metal rims and chrome trim. 

Apparently, the children were walking home from school with their uncle when the child was struck. According to their uncle, the kids were startled by a dog that barked at them, which made the two children run.
