Child Airlifted Following Two-Car Crash in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 3, 2019) – A child suffered injuries following Friday’s two-car crash on Mariposa Road near Bear Valley Road.
According to news reports, the incident unfolded around 3:16 p.m. near the Vallarta shopping center.
Emergency crews arrived shortly after to find a silver 2014 Toyota Camry and a black Nissan sedan with damage.
According to a preliminary investigation, deputies determined that the northbound Nissan collided with the silver Camry whose driver was attempting to exit the shopping center parking lot.
As a result of the accident, the boy suffered unknown injuries and required hospitalization at a trauma center.
Officials reportedly shut down Mariposa Road in both directions for nearly an hour as a Mercy Air helicopter landed to transport the boy.
Although the boy suffered injuries, authorities say he’s expected to survive.
Anyone with additional information regarding this crash should contact investigators.
