Passenger Injured in Dent County Fatal Crash
Dent County, MO (October 23, 2024) – Angela Petro, 34, of Boss, was killed in a Highway 38 collision Monday afternoon.
It was about 5:30 p.m. when the three-vehicle crash happened approximately 8 miles east of Salem.
The MSHP officers said a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Austin Bramson, 21, of Salem, was westbound behind a 2021 International truck.
Bramson tried to pass the tractor-trailer on the left when it noticed an oncoming 2021 Nissan Versa. Bramson swerved attempting to avoid the oncoming car but lost control.
The Chevy struck the Nissan head-on and then slammed into the semi-truck.
The Nissan driver, Angela Petro, died at the scene, while her passenger, Dennis Petro, 41, also of Boss, was seriously injured. Petro was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
Troopers also declared Austin Bramson dead at the scene.
MSHP said the people involved in the collision were wearing seatbelts..
