Bill Wagner Dies in Pedestrian Collision Near North Marina Drive and Sea Wind Place
THERMAL, CA (December 21, 2018) – A 91-year-old Salton City bicyclist was hit and killed by a vehicle near North Marina Drive and Sea Wind Place Tuesday afternoon.
Bill William Wagner was said to be riding his gray Univega Range Rover westbound on North Marina Drive when his vehicle was hit by a westbound 2001 Ford Focus around 2:51 p.m. Wagner was thrown off his bike and he landed in the roadway. He was later found lying on the road unresponsive. When paramedics arrived, Wagner was pronounced dead.
The 30-year-old Salton City woman who was operating the Ford was not arrested.
