4 Killed in Yoakum Plane Accident on County Road 462 and Farm-to-Market Road 318
YOAKUM, TX (January 18, 2023) – On Tuesday, Bill Garner and three others died in a plane crash on County Road 462 and Farm-to-Market Road 318.
The incident happened in the area of County Road 462 and Farm-to-Market Road 318.
According to Sgt. Ruben San Miguel of the Texas Department of Public Safety, a single-engine Piper PA-46 was preparing to land. However, it crashed for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, officers confirmed that four occupants of the plane died in the crash. The occupants included Bill Garner, the church’s executive vice president; Steve Tucker, a church elder; and Tyler Patterson and Tyler Springer. Also, one occupant of the plane managed to exit the plane. Responders took that person to a hospital in Victoria with unknown injuries.
Meanwhile, the events leading to the crash remained under investigation.
