Driver Hospitalized in Biggs Two-Car Wreck
BIGGS, CA (November 21, 2018) – A Tuesday morning two-vehicle crash left one driver with serious injuries and another unharmed on Highway 99 near East Hamilton Road.
According to California Highway Patrol Sergeant Larry Starkey, a Nissan and a UPS truck collided when the Nissan drifted into the northbound lanes of the highway. The UPS driver attempted to brake yet was unable to avoid striking the car head-on. Both vehicles veered off the roadway and into a small ditch along the road.
The unidentified Nissan driver was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
CHP is still investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
