BIG SUR, CA (February 4, 2019) – A single-vehicle crash along Highway 1 south of Garrapata State Park claimed one person’s life.
 
When responding crews arrived, they found one car involved in the crash. The vehicle was overturned on its side and one person was found dead.
 
The details of the crash were not available, and it is unclear whether another vehicle was involved.
 
Highway 1 was shut down as crews investigated the scene.
