Cyclist Hospitalized After Crashing Into Car in Berkeley
BERKELEY, CA (May 2, 2019) – A bicyclist suffered serious injuries in Wednesday’s crash with a driver at Ninth and Cedar streets.
According to Officer Byron White, Berkeley police spokesman, the incident happened around 7:15 a.m.
Based on a preliminary investigation, an eastbound truck driver struck the southbound cyclist at the intersection.
As a result, the 58-year-old bicyclist suffered serious injuries including a head injury. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Reports failed to specify the cause and whether the driver suffered any injury. However, the authorities plan to investigate the details of this crash further.
