1 Hurt in South Hill Bicycle Accident on Grand Boulevard and 14th Avenue
SOUTH HILL, WA (September 9, 2021) – Wednesday, a bicyclist suffered injuries in a crash on Grand Boulevard and 14th Avenue.
The incident occurred at around 5:50 a.m. on northbound Grand Boulevard, said Spokane Police Cpl. Dale Wells. As the bicyclist headed north on Grand Boulevard, a southbound motorist turning east on 14th Avenue hit the rider.
According to reports from callers, the man was unresponsive. Spokane Police Officer Stephen Anderson said that responders took him to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative. The authorities cited her for failure to yield.
Also, the crash shut down the intersection for about three hours.
