Man Injured in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident in Irvine
IRVINE, CA (May 21, 2019) – A bicyclist suffered unknown injuries Saturday when a hit-and-run driver struck him on Irvine Boulevard near Highway 133.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place along Irvine Boulevard around 11 p.m.
A driver of a car, described as a light-colored sedan, fled the scene ditching his or her victim and the bicyclist.
It is uncertain what caused the driver to strike the cyclist at the time, but authorities are investigating the events prior.
Paramedics arrived and transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
