Man Killed in Surprise Bicycle Accident on Grand Avenue and Greenway Road
SURPRISE, AZ (November 19, 2019)—A 34-year-old Tucson man died in a bicycle accident at Grand Avenue and West Greenway Road.
According to reports, the 34-year-old died when a Valley Metro bus struck him as he attempted to cross the intersection. Police confirmed that the bicyclist failed to yield to the bus, which had the right of way.
Unfortunately, the unidentified man died at the scene of the 6:30 a.m. collision, causing a closure for one southbound lane while police investigated.
