Pedestrian Hospitalized in Berkeley Crash
BERKELEY, CA (January 18, 2019) – A 19-year-old Whittier woman suffered minor injuries Tuesday evening after being hit by a motorist on California Street near University Avenue.
The incident happened around 5:35 p.m. Officers responded to the scene to find a 19-year-old woman with minor injuries.
A preliminary investigation led authorities to believe that the pedestrian was crossing California Street when she was hit by a 39-year-old Oakland woman attempting a southbound turn onto California Street.
Reports did not specify who had the right-of-way, but a follow-up investigation continues.
