Pedestrian Hospitalized in Berkeley Crash

BERKELEY, CA (February 7, 2019) –A 26-year-old Berkeley woman suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr Way near Parker Street Tuesday evening.

The incident happened around 6:10 p.m. when the 26-year-old woman was crossing the street at the intersection and was hit by a southbound vehicle.

The victim sustained injuries to her arm and head and was soon transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 74-year-old Oakland driver stayed at the scene and was questioned by officers.

An investigation is underway to determine who was at fault and whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time.
