Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck by Driver in Berkeley
BERKELEY, CA (January 18, 2019) – A 34-year-old Oakland man was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle while crossing University and Bonita avenues Monday evening.
The incident unfolded around 6:45 p.m. just before officers responded to a report of an injury collision.
A 34-year-old Oakland man was reportedly crossing University Avenue when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle. The victim suffered pain and bruising, and the driver, described as a 28-year-old San Leandro man, remained at the scene.
There were no details regarding whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time.
