Barry Casias Dies after Auto-Pedestrian Crash on 24th Street in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (January 20, 2023) – Thursday night, 38-year-old Barry Casias died in a crash on 24th Street and Thomas Road.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Phoenix happened around 11:30 p.m. on January 19.

Phoenix Police said they found Casias at the crash scene. Crews treated him, but he did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers.

Investigators said they believe impairment by the driver was a factor in the crash.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
