Person Dies After Being Struck by Train in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 18, 2018) – A Monday afternoon pedestrian collision on Q Street near James Street involving a Union Pacific freight train claimed a person’s life.
According to Union Pacific officials, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries. Bakersfield Police Department and Union Pacific Police are working collectively to investigate what had happened. Freight trains were stopped for nearly two hours while the investigation took place.
