2-Car Crash in Chiriaco Summit Hospitalizes At Least 1
CHIRIACO SUMMIT, CA (January 13, 2020)— At least one person was hurt following a two-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway near Hayfield Road Saturday morning.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident happened around 11:10 a.m., on the eastbound side of the 10 freeway.
Firefighters reportedly freed two people who appeared conscious that had been trapped in a sedan. At least one person sustained serious injuries and required an ambulance for hospital transportation.
It is currently unclear how the sedan and the other vehicle–which had been hauling a trailer–crashed in the first place. However, an investigation concerning the cause and details remains ongoing.
The surrounding area on the 10 Freeway was closed during the initial investigation. However, the roadway has reopened.
Driving is not a task to be taken lightly. When driving, pay attention to the road, travel at a conscious speed limit and leave space between other motorists. These tips should maximize your road safety.
