Ashley Bautista Injured, Karolyn Jaranilla Involved in Pedestrian Accident on Eucalyptus Avenue Near Galloping Hills Road
CHINO HILLS, CA (February 6, 2020) — Early Monday evening, a 33-year-old woman was severely injured in pedestrian accident along Eucalyptus Avenue near Galloping Hills Road.
Around 6:30 p.m., a call drew deputies to the scene where officers found a woman lying in the westbound lanes of Eucalyptus Avenue.
The driver of a silver 2002 Infiniti G20 sedan was traveling west on Eucalyptus Avenue when they struck Ashley Nicole Bautista, of Chino Hills.
Paramedics brought her to a local hospital for further treatment of major injuries. Officers listed her in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Chino Hills driver, whom authorities identified as Karolyn Rose Jaranilla, stayed and cooperated with investigators.
The roadway was closed during preliminary investigation. However, because information surrounding the cause appears uncertain, authorities plan to examine the case more closely.
