Armana Slayyeh in Grave Condition Following Solo-Car Wreck on West Hatch Road Near Rancho Encantado Court

MODESTO, CA (November 27, 2018) – Four people suffered minor to serious injuries in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday morning on West Hatch Road near Rancho Encantado Court.

Modesto Police Department spokeswoman Sharon Bear said 24-year-old Armana Slayyeh, of San Ramon, remains in critical condition, and it is unknown whether he will survive his injuries.

Inferring from a preliminary investigation, Slayyeh was driving a Honda Civic eastbound on Hatch Road around 2:45 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle. The car overturned multiple times and landed on its wheels, ejecting two unrestrained women in the backseat. The two women suffered major injuries but are expected to survive.

Another woman who was wearing a seatbelt suffered minor injuries while Slayyeh, who was unrestrained, was trapped inside the Honda and had to be extricated by firefighters.

A man who was riding in the front seat ran from the scene, and his injuries are unknown.

The circumstances including whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash remain under investigation.
