LOS ANGELES, CA (November 24, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, Alma Aragon died in a tragic pedestrian crash on W 83rd Street near Western Avenue.

The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. at 1758 W 83rd Street, east of Western Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a southbound car traveling at a high rate of speed collided with another vehicle. Then, the force of the crash pushed one of the vehicles to crash onto the sidewalk and struck a mother and her daughter. Also, authorities said that another male was also injured in the crash.

Moreover, responders transported the three victims to a regional trauma center where the mother, identified as Aragon, was pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the second vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence.
