Alexander Grant Dies After Tree Falls Onto Vehicle on Gayley Road Near University Drive
BERKELEY, CA (January 8, 2019) – A 32-year-old Novato man was killed after a eucalyptus tree fell on top of his car on Gayley Road near University Drive Sunday afternoon.
Around 3:48 p.m., a eucalyptus tree toppled onto a driver’s vehicle on Gayley Road. The man in the vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Novato resident Alexander Grant, was killed.
It appears Grant was driving down the driveway from Stern Hall when the 250-foot tree fell on top of his vehicle. The city arborist was contacted to remove the tree from the scene.
Authorities are investigating this deadly incident.
