Police Investigate Deadly Hit-And-Run Crash on Interstate 10 in Tempe

Tempe, AZ (December 12, 2023) – On Monday morning, 24-year-old Alejandra Lopez died in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 10.

Before 6:30 a.m. on Monday, troopers reported that Lopez was walking in the construction area on the freeway when at least three drivers hit her.

 She succumbed to her injuries at the scene, and after the crash, at least one of the drivers fled. 

Although DPS located the car, troopers are still in search of the driver.

 Lopez did not have a known address.

No additional information is immediately available.
