Alberto Diaz Arrested Following DUI Pedestrian Crash That Injured Female on South Standard Avenue Near East Edinger Avenue

 
SANTA ANA, CA (April 25, 2019) – A woman suffered critical injuries in Wednesday’ DUI hit-and-run pedestrian accident on South Standard Avenue near East Edinger Avenue.
 
Just after midnight, an officer found a woman lying on South Standard Avenue. The officer contacted the Orange County Fire Authority to the scene after learning she was unconscious. Subsequently, paramedics shuttled the woman to a hospital in critical shape.
 
In the wake of the investigation, officers found an unoccupied car with major front-end damage. In addition, they located a man strolling away from the area and detained the suspect, who appeared to be under the influence.
 
Further investigations involved authorities combing through surveillance cameras. These recordings revealed the suspect exiting the vehicle and walking away.
 
According to authorities, Alberto Solano Diaz, 28, was booked on suspicion of DUI causing injury and hit-and-run. However, more investigation is underway.
