1 Person Hospitalized in Oxnard Auto Accident on Colonia Road and McKinley Avenue

OXNARD, CA (September 2, 2023) – Tuesday night, an alarming hit-and-run crash on Colonia Road and McKinley Avenue injured one person.

The incident happened at around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Colonia Road and McKinley Avenue.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, a 2017 Toyota RAV4 and a 2006 Audi collided for still unknown reasons. Then, the Audi driver fled the scene on foot after the crash.

Moreover, responders transported the Toyota driver to Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition.

Furthermore, officers managed to locate the Audi driver who was suspected to be under the influence. No arrests were made as of this moment, police Cmdr. Edgar Fernandez added.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
