1 Person Arrested in Castroville Vehicle Crash on Castroville Boulevard and Highway 156
CASTROVILLE, CA (May 28, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, an alarming auto accident on Castroville Boulevard and Highway 156 injured three people.
The incident happened at around 2:01 p.m. on Castroville Boulevard and Highway 156.
According to reports, a patrol vehicle in pursuit of a suspect vehicle involved in an earlier drive-by shooting report collided with another vehicle.
Moreover, responders transported the deputy and two occupants of the other vehicle to a hospital with unknown injuries. Also, two male teens, ages 14 and 15, were cited at the scene and were later released to a parent.
Furthermore, officers managed to pull over and arrest the suspect vehicle and arrest the 39-year-old driver.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect was booked into Monterey County Jail for violating his probation, assault with a deadly weapon, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and other charges. Also, officials found two gel guns in the vehicle and gel ammunition as well.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
