Injuries Reported in Flagstaff Multi-Vehicle Accident on US 89

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (August 7, 2023) – Friday afternoon, an alarming 4-vehicle crash on US 89 injured 3 people.

The incident happened at about 4:15 p.m. on US 89, around 35 miles north of Flagstaff.

SFMD and Flagstaff Fire Department crews responded to the scene and located four vehicles with varying amounts of damage to them. Also, three people were found with serious injuries.

Responders rescued some occupants from their vehicles.

Then, a combination of ambulances and helicopters also responded to transport the patients to a hospital in Flagstaff.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
