Alan Altamirano Dies in Single-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway Near Highway 223

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 7, 2019) – A 23-year-old Washington man died as a result of a single-vehicle crash on the 5 Freeway near Highway 223 Friday morning.
 
The deadly crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. Per reports, the coroner identified the victim as 23-year-old Alan Altamirano, of Lakewood, Wa.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, Altamirano’s vehicle veered off the road for unknown reasons and overturned near the dirt center divider. Soon after, paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead.
 
CHP officers are investigating the details of the crash.
