Big-Rig Crash on Highway 99 West Injures Abraham Carrillo Garcia

 
Tehama County, CA (April 15, 2021) – On Sunday, 32-year-old Abraham Carrillo Garcia of Corning sustained injuries, while Pedro Castro Ramirez of Red Bluff was arrested for the DUI crash on Highway 99W.
 
The Tehama County accident took place at 12:25 a.m. near the Walmart Distribution Center.
 
Apparently, Ramirez was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle south of Sunbright Avenue. Due to his level of intoxication, he drifted his vehicle to the left, and crashed head-on with a parked big-rig.
 
Ramirez’s passenger, Garcia, incurred injuries and was rushed to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff for treatment.
 
Once medically cleared, authorities arrested Ramirez and booked him into the Tehama County Jail on $30,000 bail. They arrested him on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing bodily injury.
